What SEEN is designed to do

SEEN decals are cut from 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Graphic Film 680. 3M describes Series 680 as retroreflective film designed to provide visibility when illuminated.

3M™ 680

Genuine 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Graphic Film 680 is the material used for SEEN decals.

Two finishes

Ghost White produces the strongest reflective light return. Stealth Black is intentionally more subtle and returns a lighter reflective response than Ghost White when illuminated, in exchange for a darker daytime look.

Visibility aid

SEEN products are designed as additional visibility aids. The launch helmet decals do not replace an approved helmet, bicycle lights, road rules or other safety measures.

Our story

Why we built SEEN

We started SEEN because we saw the same thing every parent sees: teenagers riding e-bikes at dusk on roads that were not designed around the way they now travel, with very few visibility products they would actually choose to use.

So we are building a reflective visibility range that looks like a design choice by day and responds when illuminated at night. The helmet range is first, followed by products designed for the e-bike and everyday school use.

We are building SEEN from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, beginning with 3M™ Scotchlite™ 680 retroreflective helmet decals and developing designs that teens will put on their helmets.

FAQs

Common questions

SEEN decals use retroreflective film. Retroreflective material is designed to return light toward its source, so when it is illuminated by a light source such as oncoming car headlights or a torch it can appear brighter to an observer positioned near that light source.

Helmet materials, finishes and manufacturer instructions vary. Check the helmet manufacturer's guidance before applying any adhesive product. Apply only to clean, intact external surfaces and avoid vents, safety labels, moving components and areas the helmet manufacturer says must remain unobstructed.

3M publishes performance information for Scotchlite™ 680 film under specified applications and conditions. Actual life on a helmet can vary with surface, curvature, weather, cleaning and use, so SEEN does not promise a fixed service life on helmets.

Yes. The launch range is planned in Stealth Black and Ghost White. Ghost White provides the stronger reflective light return. Stealth Black is designed for a darker daytime appearance and gives a lighter reflective return than Ghost White.

The launch helmet decals use 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Graphic Film 680, which 3M describes as retroreflective film designed to provide visibility when illuminated. Performance depends on lighting, viewing angle, placement, condition and other real world factors. SEEN does not guarantee that a rider will be SEEN and does not claim to prevent collisions or injury. Check your helmet manufacturer's instructions before applying adhesive products.
